The world is not dying, it is being killed and those who are killing it have names and addresses.

We face climate genocide at the hands of the worlds most powerful.
These eco-terrorists have the so much power in our society that they could solve our worlds problems multiple times over, yet fail to do so out a combination of entitlement and greed.
We have built a society that rewards those who destroy forests for short-term gain, offset their rubbish collection fees to the sea and to bottle that water which was freely given.
Now, i'm not going to say all people who make money are bad. or that every rich person got there in a bad way. But what i will say is that it is far easier to get there by being morally bankrupt than it is by nurturing your environment and community.
Money is power and in this game that we have created to organise our production, we have allowed people to gain power for things no one seriously desires. How is it rational that our system allows a person signing off on another price hike for insulin to gain more money than a nurse tending to the sick. Which is more valuable to society? Which, if we lost, would we miss the most?
Our capitalist system is has no idea what humans need. It cannot change quick enough to stop this genocide that is coming for us.
And mark my words, it is going to be genocide.
Think of the immense effort it will be to evacuate the billions of people who live around the coastline of continents the world over. People will die in the evacuation, people will die in the resettlement zones. Considering how Trump has dealt with Puerto Rico i would not be suprised if literally nothing was done and people just died where they had lived.
It is not profitable for humans to thrive.
